Frequently Asked Questions
Initial effects are usually noticeable after a few days. The full effect typically develops after 1–2 weeks of application of the right dosage. The duration of action varies from person to person.
Antihydral® ointment should initially be applied thinly once. Then, wait until the effect occurs, which may take 2-3 days. Once the desired effect is achieved, application as needed is recommended. This can range from weekly to daily, depending on the individual. In case of persistent skin irritation, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
Simply apply a thin layer of the Antihydral® Ointment and cover the area if needed. The dried residue can be washed off the next day. Allow the Antihydral® Ointment to absorb and dry on the surface of the skin. Avoid direct contact with clothing immediately after application.
Yes. Antihydral® ointment is suitable for use on armpits, feet, and hands. Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected, clean, and dry skin areas. The frequency of application can be reduced as needed. Many users achieve a long-lasting effect with occasional application.
No, Antihydral® ointment does not contain formaldehyde as an ingredient. Methenamine naturally supports the antiperspirant effect of the ointment by potentially releasing very small amounts of formaldehyde in the acidic environment of the skin. When applied externally, only minimal amounts are absorbed by the body. Preclinical studies and the AMES test showed no evidence of mutagenic effects of methenamine. The amounts that may theoretically be produced during use are also far below toxicologically relevant levels. Further information can be found in the package leaflet. If you have any questions, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
No. Antihydral® ointment is exclusively intended for use on feet, hands, and armpits. Application on the face or chest area is not recommended. Please follow the instructions for use in the package leaflet.
